These works are deeply inspired by Jody’s long-time love for the West, paying homage to stories that aren’t just about cowboys and tumbleweeds, but about the darkening of spirit and the tough, gritty journey from innocence to manhood. Much like Zane Grey’s iconic quote from The Heritage of the Desert (1910), which perfectly captures that pivotal moment when the boy becomes the man:
